A growing proportion of people born overseas now live in postcode 2024, where 32.8% of the population was born in another country. This figure has risen by 2.5 percentage points since 2011, making the area significantly more internationally diverse than the national average.

English ancestry is the most common at 37.4%, followed by Australian (26.0%) and Irish (15.7%) roots.

Australia and the largest overseas communities.
About 32.8% of residents were born overseas, which is well above the 29.3% seen in New South Wales and the 27.7% national figure. While 62.6% were born in Australia, the most common overseas birthplaces are England (8.4%) and New Zealand (2.7%).
