# Privacy policy

CensusAtlas doesn't collect personal information about you. There are no accounts, logins or forms, so you never give us your name, email or any personal details — and we have no way to identify you.

To keep the site useful, fast, secure and free, we use these well-known services:

- **Google Analytics** shows us, anonymously, which pages and features people use (which regions and statistics are popular, how the map and search are used). It uses cookies and a random, anonymous ID; your IP address is anonymised and isn't stored by us, and it never tells us who you are.
- **Cloudflare** delivers and protects the site, briefly handling your request (including your IP address) for security and performance, using cookieless analytics.

IP addresses may appear briefly in standard server and security logs, but they aren't used to identify you. We never sell your personal information, and CensusAtlas itself doesn't build profiles of visitors.

## Cookies
Google Analytics sets `_ga` / `_ga_*` cookies holding a random, anonymous ID; Cloudflare may set a short-lived cookie only when checking a request isn't automated. The site itself sets no cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, and opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

## The census data isn't about you
The statistics on this site are aggregated, public ABS Census data (CC BY 4.0). They describe areas, not individuals.
